D.H. Day Campground (Sleeping Bear Dunes) reservations
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Glen Arbor, MI
D.H. Day is the National Park Service campground at Sleeping Bear Dunes, a short walk from the Lake Michigan shore: 87 rustic sites. From May 15 to October 15 every site needs a reservation on Recreation.gov, which opens each date six months ahead; the website and phone line open at 10 a.m. The NPS page doesn't name the time zone; Glen Arbor is on Eastern time.
This campground books on Recreation.gov, not the state system. See also Michigan state park booking rules. Season: May 15, 2027 to October 15, 2027 (reservations required; first-come self-registration April 27 to May 14 and October 16 to the fourth Sunday in November).
